About this event
After months of campaigning for the Right to Home, the St Vincent de Paul Society's petition for more affordable housing will be tabled and discussed in the NSW Parliament on Thursday 3 August 2017 - we would love for you to be there on this special occasion.
Some details to keep in mind:
Cost: free event.
Dress Code: smart casual (Parliamentary rules prohibit wearing any campaign material)
- Please arrive no later than 2:45 pm to allow time for security checks to get into Parliament. You will require a form of Government issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport.
- Between 3pm-4pm we will gather in the Theatrette to reflect on the importance of the Right to Home campaign with Members of Parliament who support our campaign. Stay tuned as more details about speakers will be provided soon.
- At 4pm we will then enter the Viewing Gallery of the Legislative Assembly to watch the petition be discussed. We expect the discussion to finish around 5 pm.
- At 5pm, join us for refreshments.
Over 16,300 people across NSW have signed our petition for more affordable housing - wherever there is a new major development, at least 15% should be set aside for affordable housing. It is time the Parliament changes our laws and delivers housing for all.

Looking forward to seeing you for this important event on the Society's calendar.
