About this event
Fun Fari is for children in years 6 and 7
Fun Fari is a program that is full of fun and excitement. It is a time of learning, discovery and adventure. Included in the program - we venture out to Putt Putt, LaserForce and Movieworld. On Friday we join in the fun at Day Camp - we play games, cook our own lunch on the campfire and enjoy some craft and devotions together.
How does Fun Fari work?
This year Day Camp begins with a commissioning and worship service on Sunday 1 July at 10 am at the Corinda Pony Club at the end of Rinora St, Corinda. The whole family is invited to attend as we commission the leaders and ask God to bless the camp.
We then return on Tuesday 3 July, Wednesday 4 July and Friday 6 July at 9 am and finish at 3 pm each day. On Thursday 5 July we meet at the Oxley Uniting Church Premier Street Oxley at 8.15 am to travel to Movieworld and return at 4 pm to the church. A bus will take us to Lazerforce, Putt Putt and Movieworld. Parents or caregivers must sign their children in each morning and sign them out in the afternoon.
What about safety?
We have adult leaders that attend each day to encourage and support the children at Fun Fari. All leaders work together to ensure the maximum safety and enjoyment for all the Fun Fari children.
Putt Putt at Victoria Park with a group activity in the afternoon
LaserForce at Wooloongabba with a group activity in the afternoon
Movieworld - small groups with adult supervision
A Day at Day Camp - group activities throughout the day
The cost for the four days is $170.00 per child.
The cost includes bus transport, all entries, craft materials, Fun Fari memento and activities.
What to bring?
Bring own morning tea/lunch/drinks or money. Please ensure that children have a packed lunch for Tuesday as there are no facilities to buy lunch. Children should wear casual clothes and a hat/sunscreen. Closed shoes must be worn at all times while on camp. All clothing should be named. Please send a raincoat if the weather forecasts showers.
